Jay Hague has been retained by Crendon Fastrack Honda for the 2022 season to contest a second successive year with the Dave Thorpe-led outfit.
The Crendon Fastrack Honda squad has signed up Jay Hague to contest the major British MX2 championships next season. After a great rookie season for the team with podium finishes in the British championship and MX Nationals this year, hell now be armed with the brand new 2022 Honda CRF250R.
Backed by one of the UKs top timber engineers Crendon, Hague once again joins British champion Tommy Searle and Jake Nicholls in the MX1 class as the team enters its 11th year in professional British motocross. The team is the most respected and highest-profile team in the UK and is run by triple world 500 champion Dave Thorpe.
Former British youth champion Hague, who lives in County Durham, was mentored by Thorpe in 2021 and quickly became a contender for podium finishes at every round. The 22-year-old Hague ended the season with a strong runner-up spot in the final British championship round his first-ever overall podium in the premier series - and is now keen to get to grips with the new bike.
"Right from when I first tried the 2021 Honda CRF250R I felt at home within a couple of laps. I really love the way it turns and handles, he said. "Its never missed a beat all year. And I know the 2022 model has more power and is lighter so I cant wait to start riding it and testing for next season.

"To be part of such a professional team is what Ive always wanted as in the past, I felt I never really had the tools and organisation to show my true potential. This year it has been an amazing experience with such a fantastic team. I learned a lot and cant thank everybody enough. So Im over the moon to ride for Crendon Fastrack Honda again.
"This year I showed I have good speed and had the most podium finishes Ive ever had, but had some bad luck too. So my goal for 2022 is to have more of a consistent season, stay healthy and finish in a strong championship position. And of course have fun!
Team manager Dave Thorpe said: "Jay never gives up, always tries his best and has showed what he can do this year. And to end the season with second overall is a great way to go into the winter testing period.
