British Motocross Championship Blaxhall
The Woodbridge and District Motorcycle Club has been awarded the coveted Maxxis Organiser of the Year award for the second year in a row.
The club, which staged round six of this years championship at its immaculate Blaxhall venue, only resumed its place on the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship calendar in 2015.
Ever since it has continued to set the benchmark for motocross events in the UK, despite fierce competition from other long-established venues including Hawkstone Park, Canada Heights and Foxhill.
The dedication and outstanding work shown by every promoter and organiser always makes the decision process difficult when standards are set so high in the first place, said Series Manager Stuart Drummond. The decision was reached and the honours went to the Woodbridge club for presenting an exceptional event.
Naturally, the club is delighted to be honoured again.
As a club it is a great honour to have been given this award for the second time running, said spokesperson Debbie Blyth.
When we received the award for the 2016 season we knew that we would have to work extremely hard to retain the title for 2017 and this makes all the hard work worthwhile.
We always pride ourselves on producing the best events that we can for the riders, teams, spectators and our valued local sponsors. Over the last three seasons we feel this has been achieved and we will continue to look at making more improvements to enhance peoples experience at the event in 2018 and beyond.
Woodbridge & DMCC will receive the award at the annual ACU Awards and Presentations evening at the National Motorcycle Museum on January 13.
