It has been announced that the opening round of the 2015 British Quad Championship will be staged at the Hawkstone International
Quads will get their normal three 20 minutes races around the iconic sand track famous hill, and will be part of the weekend that sees international MX1 and MX2 races.
Gary Ford of the event promoters HIMX, said: "We are really excited to have the quads back on February the 22nd. It is some time since they were there and to have the best quad riders in the UK supporting our MX1 and MX2 International classes will hopefully be a real attraction for the spectators.”
Promotion of the British Championship was taken over by NORA-MX this year on behalf of the ACU. A spokesman for NORA-MX said: "We are delighted to get such a prestigious event onto the quad calender. When we took over the series this year it needed some help getting back on its feet, but we always said our long term objective is to grow the status of the series and quad racing generally.
"This will put quad racing back in front of a big audience, so we can showcase how brilliant the racing is, and it will hopefully give the trade more of a reason to support our riders too.
"Its a tough track that sorts the men from the boys though. Anyone who is serious about winning the 2015 title will need to be taking their winter training seriously."
