British Youth Nationals Culham
Hot on the heels of Maxxis doing their stuff last weekend at Culham MP, this weekend RHL has the same circuit freshly prepared for the British Youth Nationals opener.
In the Youth Open championship last weekend's Maxxis MXY2 races offered up a few clues as to who might end up with a podium finish.
Look out for the individual Maxxis heat winners Jake Edey and Lewis Hall.
Team Green's Hall was the overall winner, and a return to top form for Keenan Hird rewarded him with podium second ahead of Edey.
Tom Grimshaw, Howard Wainwright and Joe Cadwallader rounded out the top six.
One of the most hyped classes, the 125s, is stacked out with winning possibilities.
Rossi Beard, Josh Peters, Sam Nunn, Adam Collings, Declan Hunter, youngster Joel Rizzi and last year's Small-wheel supremo Ike Carter are just a few who could be on a roll in 2017.
With a few top runners moving up to the 125s – and with Eddie Jay Wade in particular absent with his European priorities – the Big-wheel 85s is up for grabs in one of the most open contests of recent years.
Lewis Wood, Team Green's Bobby Bruce and Dominic Lancett are three who immediately spring to mind.
Rising star Charlie Heyman is the standout pick in the Small-wheel 85s but Alfie Jones is well capable of giving him a hard time.
In the Junior 65s, following a year of injury misery Ollie Colmer starts as one of the favourites for 65cc gold in 2017.
Wal Beaney like Woods and Heyman is a member of the SJP team and he will be looking to build on last season's terrific results and he's definitely in with a podium shot.
As a team SJP could be in for a bumper year of success.
Also look out for the likes of Ashton Boughen and McKenzie Marshall in the 65s as they will surely be in the mix.
