Shaun Simpson is the new Ambassador for the 2016 Thor British Youth Nationals
British MX1 Motocross Champion Shaun Simpson has joined RHL to be the 2016 Thor British Youth Nationals team as Ambassador.
To have one of the leading MXGP riders available for BYN registered riders to communicate with for advice and guidance, is definitely something which will help grow and encourage an understanding of what riders need to achieve to get to a British and world championship level.
Shaun Simpson:
"2016 has brought a new and exciting challenge for me. I will be the all new RHL Thor British Youth Nationals Ambassador, which will be something new and an exciting challenge. This is something that has interested me for a couple of seasons now, as I came through this championship as a schoolboy back in the day. Over a modestly successful career so far I have gained many skills, techniques and pointers that I'm willing to pass down and share with today's youth to better their performance and widen their range of access to answers of questions that they may have throughout a racing season. Ultimately giving something back to the sport and hopefully our future GP riders. I will be attending the first round of the championship at Fatcat o April 2 and am looking forward to getting started with it all.”
Gareth Hockey RHL Activities:
"For RHL this is another stepping stone to making the Thor British Youth Nationals the best championship in Europe. the series to me is not just about racing it's about giving the youth riders in our championship access to the best people in our sport, which nobody can deny, Shaun is certainly one of the best. For RHL it's about educating riders to the importance of all aspects of sport from social media, sponsorship, what they say, way they act on and off the track, what to eat and how to achieve the maximum they can from out of sport by being part of this championship.”
