Buildbase Honda ready for Lyng

Lyng marks a home round for the team's Honda CRF450R-mounted Elliott Banks-Browne, who comes from Bury St Edmunds and is looking forward to competing at his local track.

 

Banks-Browne took three fourth-place finishes in the opening round at Landrake in Cornwall on March 16, and the reigning double British MX2 champion will be pushing hard to make it onto the podium come raceday.

 

His Buildbase Honda team-mate, Brad Anderson, who took his CRF450R to fifth-overall at Landrake, also enjoys the characteristics of the Lyng track and the popular rider will be seeking to replicate results from previous years that have seen him claim three British titles.

 

Racing at Lyng will kick-off with MX2 action at 12.15 on Sunday, featuring the Putoline Apico Honda pairing of Neville Bradshaw and James Harrison competing on their CRF250R machines.

 

Elliott Banks-Browne said "I'm looking foward to Lyng; it's pretty much my home race, the local fans will be there cheering and it's a great atmosphere. We have been working hard to improve the bike even more and I feel happy with it. I have overcome the troubles I had at round one with arm pump and I want to go into Lyng and really show what I'm capable of on the CRF450R. I want to be up front and mixing it for the win this weekend.”

 

Brad Anderson says "Lyng is one of my favourite tracks on the British championship calendar and in the country. Over the last few weeks I have been working hard and hopefully on Sunday I can produce three strong results for the overall.”

 

Team Manager, Dave Thorpe said "Since the last round at Landrake both riders have been working really hard on their own individual performances, while the team has been working hard back at the workshop to prepare the best CRF450R possible to go racing on Sunday. Hopefully we'll be challenging with it at the sharp end in all three races.”
