In our Brit champs predictions a few months ago I put my money on Jamie Dobb lifting the MX2 title but after two rounds the defending champ Stephen Sword's setting the pace. In our Brit champs predictions a few months ago I put my money on Jamie Dobb lifting the MX2 title but after two rounds the defending champ Stephen Sword's setting the pace. And that's not all! Not content with gunning for a third straight British crown, Swordy's now taken his first ever GP overall win and as this issue goes to press is the jealous guardian of the red series leader's plate. And that leads me nicely on to my main message this month. Now I know that no-one takes a blind bit of notice of what I've got to say but, if you're only ever going to take one piece of advice from me, pin back your lug 'oles and listen - GO TO THE ISLE OF WIGHT! It's not as though I'm asking you to crawl Y-frontless across hot coals, buy a pre-65 scrambler or anything else that's going to result in severe pain, nasty scabs and a long healing process. I'm asking you to do something that can only bring great pleasure and a warm feeling in your tum!We invented MX, we were the best in the world at it for a long, long time and have just spent the last four years wandering in the GP wilderness. Now we're back and - even better - we've got the chance to cheer on a British rider who's got a bloody good shot of winning. So go to the Isle of Wight, make some noise for Swordy and the boys and show the rest of the GP world what they've been missing out on since Y2K. It's your patriotic duty - see you there...
