Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racings Martin Davalos earned an exciting victory aboard his Husqvarna FC 250 on Saturday at the 15th round of AMA Supercross, held at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. The win marked Davalos second 250 SX East victory of the season, and the fourth of his career.

Teammate Jason Anderson earned a heat race win and a fourth-place finish in the 450 class. Fellow rider Christophe Pourcel sat the night out due to injury.

Martin Davalos pulled a top-five start in his heat and, after going down in the second corner and remounting in dead last, he fought all the way back to a fourth-place transfer position. In the main, Davalos started in the top-10 before navigating to the fourth-place position by the second lap. He started working hard on third, and quickly made the pass for the position in the third lap. He was on the heels of the second-place spot by lap eight, and made the pass by the end of lap before setting his sights on the leader. Despite a freight train of riders directly behind him, Davalos fought his way into the lead by the next lap and immediately started opening a gap and pulling away. He held strong to the finish and earned his second victory of the season. He is currently fourth overall in 250 SX East rider point standings.

"My starts were pretty good all day,” said Davalos. "My start was great in my heat race but I hit neutral in the first rhythm section, then I got squirrelly in the rut and crashed so that put me behind. I was actually dead last and came all the way back to fourth. I felt good throughout the day. The track was tough, slippery and rutted but it came out ok. In the main, my exit off the start wasn't great but I knew I had to be consistent. I was very patient in the first turn and rode a smart race. I stayed within my limits. It was definitely hard to be up front and have Jeremy switching and trying new stuff right behind me. I felt good throughout the moto and I'm pretty pumped with this win. I had a pretty good drive in the whoops, and knew I had to be consistent in the corner and not try to rush it. It was a great race overall. I'm super pumped on the improvements and I'm excited to go to New Jersey next week."

Jason Anderson got a second-place start in his heat and immediately started battling for the lead. He overtook the position by making a pass in the rhythm section halfway through the first lap to take his Husqvarna FC 450 to its third heat race win of 2016. In the main, Anderson pulled a top-five start and navigated to fourth by the second lap. He stayed steady in the position for the next 11 laps before making an aggressive pass for third in lap 13. He held on to the position before falling back to fourth with five laps to go where he finished. He is currently third overall in 450 rider point standings.

"We had some rain and it was muddy in the beginning of the day,” said Anderson, "but it cleared up for the night show. I got a heat race win and was feeling pretty good.  I went into the main and was feeling great. I was battling with Dungey but lost my front brake in the process. I settled into fourth and just rode on from there.”
