TMX readers will know that Dougie Lampkin MBE is an off-road sporting legend. The 37-year-old Yorkshireman is a 12-time world trials champion and completely dominated the sport at the highest level from 1997 until 2003.

Hardcore competition may have taken a bit of a back seat over the last few years but the Red Bull athlete is still a regular performer at high-profile events and Dougie will be showcasing his unique skills to the crowds when the Red Bull Pro Nationals roll into Weston-super-Mare on May 18-19.

Dougie will be staging a series of trick riding masterclasses on the Sunday, showing off the sublime skills that carried him to his seven outdoor and five indoor world titles.

"I'm really looking forward to riding at Weston,” says Dougie who back in 2008 became a YouTube sensation attracting almost 250,000 hits when he rode his bike through Goodwood House and onto the roof to help publicise the Goodwood Festival of Speed. "You don't need to be a rider to appreciate what I do on a bike and the crowd always get into it.”
