Duck Smart make James a GP star for the weekend

Duck Smart are always happy to get involved with motocross and the innovative cleaning product brand dished out the GP treatment at the weekend to 8 year old James Day at the East Anglia Schoolboy Scramble club's two day event at Wakes Colne.
James won the competition which was launched last year via Duck Smart's Website, with a massive response, and by winning he enjoyed being treated like a star for the duration of the weekend.
Situated in his very own village in the Wakes Colne pits, James was treated to Race support, training and advice from Gary Linge from the LTA Training academy which has seen huge success from its youth riders this season. Powerband racing young gun, and Red Bull Pro National winner Jordan Eccles also was on hand to support James, with track walks, racing advice and start line preparation. On top of that his bikes were cleaned and prepped by the Duck Smart team and then lubed up by Bel-Ray UK distributor Rapid Moto.
The fun began for James during the week when three-time World Champion and MX Legend Dave Thorpe emailed him a good luck message, and the guys from the Bolddog FMX team rang him up to wish him luck.
On top of that the Bolddog guys sent him t-shirts and hats, Rip N Roll sent him goggles, and Madison UK sent over some goodies to throw into the crowd, which he did after signing his very own posters to the crowd.
Not content with all of that lot Duck Smart made James his own personalised pit board and much to the appreciation of the lads at the race track James was accompanied throughout Sunday by his very own Duck Smart girls!
Duck Smart owner Gary Bennett said of the weekend: "We like to support riders of all abilities and ages and are very much supporters of grass root sport and we felt this competition was a great way to give something back to the youngsters. The Day family were a pleasure to deal with all weekend, and I have to say I think the Duck Smart team enjoyed it as much as they did.
"We would like to thank everyone who helped and supported the weekend to make it happen, and a big thanks to East Anglia SSC for making us so welcome and we were glad we could help them out with some prizes for their presentation”.
Such was the success of the competition Duck Smart will be launching the 2014 version at the Dirt Bike Show in November. To see how the weekend panned out for James and his family visit the Duck Smart Facebook page for pictures and videos.
