ERIC Kitchen, T+MX's long-standing photographic contributor, and his wife Ellen, were star guests at a dinner staged at the opening of an exhibition of Kitch's own selection of Scottish Six Days Trial pictures, being staged in Fort William this week.
Called Observed', the exhibition of some 150 Scottish pics spans four decades of EK attending the SSDT and the Saturday evening soiree, organised by Jake Miller of G2F, was packed with 50 guests who had a fabulous time reminiscing over Eric's SSDT work.
Speakers included seven times World Champion Dougie Lampkin, T+MX editor John Dickinson, FIM representative Dave Willoughby, MRS boss-man Malcolm Rathmell and the star turn was none other than Martin Lampkin who entertained the assembled guests in his own inimitable style.
It was a very special occasion that achieved its simple aim of acknowledging the sport's debt to EK for providing a unique record of the greatest trial in the world over the last four decades.
