EMMA Bristow secured her second successive World Womens Trials Championship with a double win in Teo, Spain, last weekend.

With three wins to date in the series and with all contenders having one round to drop from the five days of competition the Sherco rider can't be caught – whatever the result in Friday's final round.

They were two very different results, though, with Emma a runaway winner on Saturday but only just taking victory from friend and rival Becky Cook after both dropped three marks each on Sunday.

Saturday saw Britain's defending World Champ Emma Bristow in stunning form, revelling in the tricky conditions to take a runaway victory and the all important Championship points.

With only three rounds counting from the five held it is imperative to make every round count.

Her laps of 9-5-9 for 23 meant that she lost just half the total of runner-up Becky Cook who gave Great Britain a superb one-two on the Jgas.

With Bristow in a class of her own it was a real battle for Cook who just pipped the tall, slender German Ina Wilde thanks to a better third and final lap.

And Donna Fox continues to give it her all and fourth place was no less than the Foxy Lady deserved after another battling effort.

It just got better and better for the Brits as young Jess Bown made it four in the top 10 – a great ride from Jess in a 26-strong field.

Chloe Richardson, Victoria Payne and Millie Ray all showed plenty of grit in a strong show from the British girls.

As stated, Sunday was a different day altogether with the top girls banging in single figure scores in a highly-competitive competition.

And Emma had to come back from behind as Becky Cook meant business on the Jotagas following up a superb single mark opening lap with an even better clean second circuit.

Emma started out with laps of two and a one to trail the rampant Cook by two but the reigning champ saved her best until last, handling the pressure superbly to go clean and just sneak the overall victory on the day by the narrowest of margins.

It was a brilliant day for our girls with Donna Fox going one better than Saturday by taking a clear third place for an all-British podium – and a real warning for the opposition come next Saturday's Women's Trial des Nations which will take place near Tarrogona.

Teenager Jess Bown has also shown great form and a willingness to learn with 11th place including a superb final lap of just three marks showing that we can expect more from the Scorpa rider in future.

Chloe Richardson and Victoria Payne finished 18th and 23rd with Millie Ray unfortunately retiring.
