European Motocross EMX300 Brad Anderson
Brad Anderson continues to turn back the clock and, while he probably wont thank me for reminding him, now at the ripe old age of 36 hes still a force to be reckoned with.
The two-time British champ is currently fourth in the Maxxis MX1 class on his Verde Sports Racing 450cc KTM but it's his performances on a two-stroke in the EMX300 series that are grabbing the headlines.
With three out of five rounds in the bag Ando's won all three overalls, taken four out of six races wins, finished second twice and currently leads the championship by 21 points.
His latest victory came at the MXGP of Lombardia at Ottobiano at the weekend. After following fellow Brit James Dunn across the line in the opening moto he made sure of victory in race two and even did a lap of honour at full race pace after missing the chequered flag.
"What a weekend at the Italian GP,” said Brad. "First race in EMX300 I got second on the Saturday and then a win on the Sunday to take the overall in very hot conditions. A huge thank you to RJS Builders, Chris Muir, Adrian Kirk and all the sponsors that make it possible to do what I love - race motocross and win.”
Team boss Adrian Kirk was delighted with his rider's performance.
"Brad gave 100 per cent as always,” he said. "He's a pleasure to work with. A huge thank you to everyone who has helped us with the journey so far. We couldn't have done it without you all.”
Brad's next outing in EMX300 will be at the MXGP of Belgium at Lommel on August 6.
