Eurosport deal gives Maxxis global coverage

THIS years Maxxis British Motocross Championship will be broadcast into millions of homes worldwide after ACU Events tied up a deal with Eurosport.

Each of the eight rounds will be screened the following weekend in morning and afternoon slots.
"We are always looking for good quality motorsport to fuel the passion of our viewers for all types of bike racing,” said David Kerr, managing director of Eurosport in the UK. 
"Adding the Maxxis British Motocross Championship to our existing track and road racing gives us another great series.”
In addition to the extensive coverage Eurosport is providing, Fox Sports Australia, MAV TV USA and Sport TV Portugal will broadcast a one-hour highlights programme from each round of the series. Highlights will also feature in popular motorsport magazine shows Max Power, Motorsport Mundial and Planet Speed. 
"It's great to see the coverage of the Maxxis ACU British Championship move forward in this direction,” said ACU Events' Stuart Drummond, "as it is sure to create more exposure to all.”
Broadcasts begin on March 26 with coverage from the opening round at Lyng where MX1 champion Shaun Simpson will begin his title defence.
