Everts extends contract with KTM's MX Team

KTM's Offroad Sports Director Pit Beirer announced at a press conference in Faenza Italy at the weekend that ten-times world motocross world champion Stefan Everts has signed as MX team boss for two more years.

Everts joined the company at the beginning of the season to manage the MXfactory riders and to instill in them some of his own rich experience gained ininternational racing. He originally signed for one year but will now continuehis work for an additional two years.

It was a very good year in2007, especially with my relationship with Pit (Beirer), Everts said at thepress conference, I only wanted to stay for one year but I have had a good timeand now I have some great plans for working with the team during the next twoyears.

It was also announced at the press conference that FactoryRiders Tyla Rattray and Tommy Searle would stay on in MX2 with the KTM Red BullRacing Team for the 2008 season.

I have always had a goodrelationship with KTM. I trust them very much and I get great support, theSouth African Rattray said.

Searle, the young British teenager was alsopositive, I am looking forward to one more year in Europe and I want to do aswell as I can and try to have a great season in 2008, he said.
