Foxhill cancelled - Bridgestone British Masters
By Team TMX on 13th May 21
The Foxhill round of the 2021 Bridgestone British Masters has been cancelled due to flooding. The event was due to take place this weekend, May 15-16.
"It is with deep regret that we inform you that round two at FoxHill MX Track this weekend is cancelled," the organisers said.
"We have just had an emergency track update from the landowner and the heavy and frequent downpours of rain have flooded the track and made it unrideable.
"We are currently working on the logistics of the 2021 Bridgestone British Masters calendar and will inform you all of any appropriate updates as soon as possible.
"Registered riders, we will carry over your FoxHill payment to the new round two which is at Wroxton Motocross Track on the 12 and 13 June. If you would not like us to do this, you must inform us via text message immediately.
"Wildcards, your entries will be refunded. Please bear with us whilst we action these refunds.
"Registered riders who have yet not booked in, your payment for the new round two at Wroxton Motocross Track on the 12 and 13 June is now due. You have until Friday 28 May to make payment. After this date, any unpaid spaces will be offered to Wildcards with these being released nearer to the event.
"We are deeply saddened by this outcome however you can all appreciate the weather is out of our control. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and we hope to see you all at Wroxton Motocross Track on the 12 and 13 June for round two which will also take the form of the Tommy Morris Memorial Meeting.
"Thank you for your cooperation."
Although the organisers say Foxhill is cancelled, they do hint at a possible change to the calendar, so perhaps we will still see Foxhill on the Bridgestone British Masters schedule. The silver lining is fans will be allowed at the next event. Bring on Wroxton!
We'll keep you updated on any further developments.

I have to admire the guys and girls at the AMCA as they’ve completely changed their ethos when it comes to their flagship series and unlike previous decades/centuries where it was very much a closed affair, it now seems to welcome everyone – and it’s flourishing as a result with the 2021 edition looking set to be the best one ever.
