The 2010 Dirt Bike Show kicks off next week with a number of firsts, and a new International profile that has helped to draw major industry names to what is now the largest off-road show in Europe.

This year's show is well supported with a staggering number of exhibitors signed up, representing literally hundreds of brands all with a common theme – off-road!

Couple that with the level of interest shown from overseas and home-grown visitors and media and it gives a clear indication that the 2010 annual off-road fest at Stoneleigh is bucking-the-trend and emerging in a strong and positive light.

European rules

Leading on the race track and leading at the show; Austrian manufacturer KTM has a substantial presence in hall two.
On its main stand, the company will present 2011 models from its SX, SX-F and EXC ranges.
The KTM XC line-up will also be available for the first time in the UK, and the 150 XC will be attracting plenty of attention.

A separate race truck and motorsports stand will show a number of championship and race-winning factory-kitted machines including the 350 SX-F that, in the hands of World MX1 Champion Tony Cairoli, has virtually revolutionised motocross.

On an adjacent stand, sister company Husaberg will display its two all-new two-strokes – the TE250 and 300.

Logically complementing its four-stroke model range, Husaberg has opened its doors to two-stroke fans who, of course, appreciate machines with a more-lively power delivery, lighter weight and lower costs in terms of maintenance. The International Dirt Bike Show will be the platform from which Husqvarna's new management – HVUK – will launch an all-new enduro and motocross version of its radically-designed 449 series.

Incorporating the 450cc BMW-designed motor, together with a host of aesthetic and technological advancements, the new Husky will line up alongside its smaller stable-mate, the TC250, which benefits from fuel-injection for 2011.

Rieju will be showcasing its 2011 enduro and supermoto range of machines.

The machines are built in Spain and powered by Yamaha motors.

The show will also be used to launch the new 2011 MRT200LC Pro Competition model.

Other machines on display include a new WR450-powered Supermoto.

CCM will have the C-XR230 together with the 300cc and 500cc Puzey XTR4 range lining up alongside its 2010 race bikes.

Show visitors can also look forward to finding some sylph-like delights from trials producer Gas Gas.

Family friendly show

There's little doubt that it's a hard task to keep visitors of all ages amused, but the Dirt Bike Show does offer a number of free-of-charge and wallet-friendly activities in an endeavour to do just that.

At the front of the hall, near the entrance, there will be a kids' Quad-riding facility, ‘Lap of Hawkstone Park' simulator, and frequent bursts of action from the Extreme Mountain Bike Show, featuring two of the UK's Mountain Bike World Trials Championship front-runners – Danny Butler and Ben Slinger.

Once inside, a ‘Show Guide' will be provided at no cost and, for the energetic amongst you, hall two will house a climbing wall for those looking for a bit of a challenge.

And, what's more, parking at the show is free of charge!

Stage centre

Hosted by popular TV presenter and former multi-British 125cc MX Champion Paul Malin, the T+MX/ DBR stage will be a hive of live activity.

Former X-Factor contender Katy Bullock will give three live performances per day and the Dirt Bike Show girls will strut their stuff in a series of vibrant fashion shows.

With frequent forums, interviews with the stars and plenty of fun and games planned, there'll be plenty of free entertainment on offer throughout the four-days of the 2010 show.
