Goo'd stuff from Josh and James!

AFTER a week's battering from the elements, the sticky conditions at Wilden Lane came as no surprise for the sixth and penultimate round of this year's Moto Goo Championship. The only real surprise perhaps was that there was any meeting at all taking place! But the Kidderminster venue does have an unsurpassed reputation when it comes to beating the weather.
As in the previous five rounds, Josh Spinks and James Lassu took centre stage when it came to putting points on the board in the combined Adult Two and Four-Stroke races.
Both guys took a clean sweep carding three race wins each. However, in real time action, Spinks was the master, winning by the proverbial mile. The only real challenge to these runners came in the opening moto as Marc Dean held sway mid race. But Josh chased him down relentlessly to claim a fine race win. Elsewhere in the Adult section, there were strong performances from Matt Gardiner, Matt Burrows and Marc Dean in particular, who looked on form all afternoon. A mention also for Danny Ward who rode like a demon in the middle moto to come back from dead last.
The Suzuki-mounted Jonathon Jones grabbed a brace of wins in the Youth 125cc section, but unluckily threw it all away in the other moto, eventually finishing in 13th place. When it was all totalled however, he still had enough points to deservedly finish top of the pile. Behind Jonathon there was a touch of sibling rivalry as Ryan Houghton slugged it out with older brother Jamie. Jamie claimed the second race win in fine style, Ryan had the final say with a 5-2-3 race card and enough points to
finish in second place overall.
