Grant takes the win but Cairoli's champ

ANTONIO Cairoli claimed the second big international prize of his young career by taking the 2006 European Supercross championship title.
The 2005 MX2 world champion scored enough points at the final round of the three-round series at the Supercross of Genoa, in his home country of Italy, recently, to claim the SX title to add to his Italian MX2 championship and his runner-up spot in this season's MX2 world championship.
However, the overall honours of the Italian event were snatched by Josh Grant on his Honda, but the American had only contested the last round, and so, after Cairoli won the SX race in Milan earlier this year he succeeded in beating championship rival Alexandre Renet in Genoa for the final race of the three round SX UEM championship.
