Great Scott

The 2014 Scott Amateur Nationals series was one of the best yet and with all the riders stepping up their game from 2013 it was a thrilling battle from the gate drop at FatCat MP in late March to the final chequered flag at Pontrilas at the end of September.
The 125 Two Stroke category was one of the closest out of them all between Cory Nemeth and Stuart Owen.
Both riders fought all season long for the crown but by the end of a brilliant fight at the final round it was Nemeth who walked away from Wales with the title. Surprisingly the pair only took four moto wins between them all year showing consistency is the key to being in the hunt for the championship.
In comparison to the 125 championship the Vets series was far from close.
After a 2-1 scorecard and overall win at FatCat Brian Wheeler was gone into the distance as he took 30 moto wins from 32 starts, took all eight overalls and won the series by a huge 106 points over his nearest rival Danny Blakeley.
Ed Bradley and Danny Blakeley were the only other riders to take a race win all year but with a streak of 26 moto wins in a row Wheeler was crowned after the first race on Sunday at Pontrilas.
Blakeley couldn't do anything about the flying Kawasaki man so had to settle for second this year but you can be sure he will be back to try and regain the title in 2015.
