Legendary road racer, tea drinker, truck mechanic, farmer, TMX reader and TV Star Guy Martin is set to add another feather to his cap by taking on the Farleigh Castle Vets MX on the weekend of September 13/14. The 43-year-old from Lincolnshire will line up on a Doc Wob-prepared YZ250 so if he does anything but win, we know that it’s down to the guy riding it and not the bike.

As well as racing, Guy will be bringing his world land speed record attempt machine - The Spirit of GB - along with him. The bike is powered by a 1200shp (shaft horsepower) Rolls-Royce Gem Lynx helicopter gas turbine engine and will be used to try to beat the existing record of 376.363mph currently held by Rocky Robinson in the Ack Attack Streamliner. The land speed record attempt is scheduled to take place at the Salar de Uyuni salt flats in Bolivia in 2026, with slower test runs below 200mph due to take place in the UK first.

But Farleigh Castle comes before all of that so make sure you’re there to see it by getting your tickets ahead of time at farleighcastlevetsmx.co.uk
