After a tense start to the last round of the 2025 EMX Quad Championship, where he started with a points deficit of 10, Yamaha-mounted Harry Walker emerged victorious in Vesoul, France to prove perseverance, determination, teamwork and a solid support network are vital when it comes to winning championships.

Here Harry, takes up the story …

“The final round of the EMX Quad Championship was a weekend that, was not only incredibly special, but also a testament to perseverance, determination, and the strength of the team and support network behind me.

“Going into the weekend, I was 10 points behind the championship leader. My mindset was focused on giving it my all, finishing strong, and letting the results fall where they may. However, I never gave up on the dream, and I’m incredibly proud that I came away as the overall winner of the final round and, more importantly, the 2025 European Quad Champion.

“Saturday arrived with perfect weather and a focused team, ready for a packed day of three sessions. I took to the track for practice, quickly finding flow on what was a tight and technical layout with little room for error or passing. Despite the challenges, I managed to post a strong time and secured third overall in practice.

“After a few setup tweaks with the team, I headed into qualifying. The session was busy, making it difficult to get a clean lap, but I managed to place fourth, still within the same second as the top five riders.

“The final session of the day was the qualifying race. With fourth gate pick, I got a great launch and claimed the holeshot, putting me in the lead from the very start. I focused on staying smooth and consistent, pulling away from the pack to take the win, giving both myself and the team confidence heading into race day. Following a team debrief, there was little to change, the quad setup felt great, and we were ready for Sunday.

“Race day brought another sunny, hot day with highs of 29°C. I set the fastest lap time of the entire weekend - a 1:45.838 - in warm-up, which gave me even more confidence going into the final two races of the championship.

“In race one, I had an average start and dropped to fifth but made up three positions on the first lap. I battled hard, eventually taking the lead. Unfortunately, with just two laps to go, I was passed and crossed the line in second place. That left us facing an exciting finale where just one point separated me from the championship title.

“In the second race, I knew what I had to do. I narrowly missed the holeshot, but came out of the first few corners in third before taking the lead shortly after. I rode a smart, consistent race and brought it home for the win, securing the overall victory for the weekend and claiming the European Quad Championship title.

“It was an emotional end to the weekend. The whole team was overjoyed. After a tough round in Latvia earlier in the season, to come back and win the championship was a moment I’ll never forget.

"This marks a huge milestone for me; back-to-back European Champion and, with also securing my three-time back-to-back British Championship this year, it honestly is a dream come true

“Achievements like these wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support I receive from people and partners who believe in me. Their backing, and commitment has played a huge part in making this dream a reality.

“From long days at the track, to intense training and machine prep, this title is the result of countless hours of effort behind the scenes and I’m incredibly proud to share this success with everyone concerned.

“I want to thank everyone for being part of this journey whose support means the world to me. I hope I’ve made them proud.

“Finally, this experience has reinforced a life lesson I carry with me … never give up, stay focused, and always strive to be your best, success will follow!”
