Herlings apologises for absence

Jeffrey Herlings apologised on Saturday for his potential absence from the post-race press conference at the MXGP of Patagonia.
"I have a flight back home on Sunday evening,” he said, "so if anybody wants to ask me questions please feel free today.”
The Dutch youngster has always flown home between multiple week overseas GPs over the last four years but the Asian trips have been six-hour flights, nowhere near as strenuous as the journey he faced this week.
"After my injuries in the last two years it is very important for me to maintain my physical training and I don't know what would be available in Mexico,” he said.
"It was a long trip out here – 36 hours or something – but I can get home Monday evening and fly out to Mexico on Friday so I get three days at home and can follow my regular programme. I hope to get some sleep on the plane too.”
When questioned if he would step up to MXGP in 2017 Jeffrey admitted that no firm decision had yet been made.
"It's too early in the year to decide yet,” he added.
"The season is still long and anything will happen but when the time comes I will make the decision together with KTM.”
He also admitted for the first time that he had initially planned to move up at the end of 2014, saying: "The broken thigh which cost me a third straight MX2 world title put that on hold.
