FUNCHAL (PORTUGAL), 8 September 2009 The FIM Motocross World Championship will come to an end this weekend in Brazil where the series is back after a 10 year absence.

Cairoli hasalready wrapped up the MX1 Title but Nagl, Philippaerts, Desalle, De Dycker andCoppins will battle tooth and nail to take the best possible spot inside the topsix.

The Honda GPof Brazil at Canelinha will surely hand out the MX2 World Title as KTM factoryteam mates Musquin and Goncalves are the sole riders left with a Titlechance.

MX1

Cairoli madeit to his third World crown in Lierop ten days ago as the Yamaha Red Bull DeCarli rider took his maiden MX1 Title. Cairoli, who rode with a painful leftknee in the Dutch GP, underwent surgery immediately after and is now  ready toface Canelinha, a new venue to the FIM Motocross World ChampionshipMX1/MX2.

While theItalian will ride with no particular goals, runner up in the Championship Naglneeds to fight tooth and nail to defend the runner up spot from last year's MX1World Champion Philippaerts.

Red Bull KTMFactory Racing's Nagl is 24 points ahead of a hungry Philippaerts wanting tomake up for the loss of the Title with the runner up spot in theseries.

Behind theYamaha Monster Energy Motocross rider is this season's revelation Desalle of LSMotors Honda. At his first and last season with the squad taking the Belgian tohis maiden GP win in Czech Republic and to other five podiums, Desalle wants toreward the team with a top three finish in the series.

Desalle isjust two points away from Philippaerts but Lierop winner De Dycker of TekaSuzuki WMX1 is fifth in the Championship at a two point distance from hisBelgian countryman.

Coppinscompletes a close top six with Tanel Leok in seventh.

MX2

The 2009 MX2World Title is an affair in between the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing duo ascurrent leader Musquin and Goncalves are all set on the Honda Grand Prix ofBrazil. Both are looking for their maiden Title, with the sole difference that2009 will be the last chance for Portuguese Goncalves to take an MX2 Title – hewill move to MX1 in 2010 when the MX2 maximum age limit will be23.

24 year oldGoncalves will look at Brazil as a sort of second home Grand Prix. On the otherhand Musquin is first in the Championship with an advantage of 22 points. TheFrenchman has won in Lierop to gain one more win than Goncalves, as he also hasfive more moto wins.

Bud RacingKawasaki PSM's Paulin sits in third place but has lost his Title chances atLierop where he scored only seven points at the end of a troubledweekend.

Guarneri ofYamaha Monster Energy Ricci Motocross is a distant fourth in the Championshipahead of fifth placed Roczen who took his third season podium atLierop.

SouthAmerican speed star Martin Davalos will also join the MX2 series thisweekend.
