Both the IMBA MX1 and MX2 European championships reach their penultimate rounds this Sunday and its still looking very good for Team AMCA Great Britain!

In MX1 it's Luke Burton (FUS FRO CPS Husqvarna) who leads the way, 54 points clear of Belgian Frederic Weigert, while over in MX2 former Maxxis front runner Ray Rowson (Apex Geartec KTM) blasted to a double race win last time out to take over at the top of the standings. Ray is now on 730 points, 28 clear of fellow Brit Josh Waterman.

Last Sunday the MX1 class was in action at Ohlenberg in Germany where Burton went 2-3-1 for second overall. Of the other Brits, Ed Briscoe was the next best with his highest placing a sixth in moto two. Andrew Smart started with an 11th while Scott Bates with 13th and Joshua Scott in 15th both had their best result in the final moto.

This weekend the MX1 field go to Huldenberg in Belgium.

Tragically, the latest MX2 event at Beggingen in Switzerland was abandoned when a support class rider was fatally injured but in the two IMBA motos that were completed Rowson took both wins.

Providing yet more British back-up, Lewis King (TMC Kawasaki) went 3-2 for a superb second overall. Brad Tranter, after leading moto one, recorded a strong 7-6 but for Waterman it was not such a happy day.

In race one he had to work hard for sixth before jumping off the track in the second moto and, unable to quickly rejoin proceedings, a frustrated Josh lost numerous places before eventually getting back to 10th at the finish.

For MX2 the destination is Recoaro in Italy.
