International Motocross - Hawkstone Park 2009

Once again the countdown has begun for the 12th consecutive international motocross meeting at Hawkstone Park run by HIMX. In a pre-season shake down, stars from the entire Motocross scene will be going head-to-head in battle and preparation for the World and British Championship seasons.
Already huge names have committed to their attendance to the event including thenewly formed CCM racing team with riders Tom Church and Jason Dougan, sadlylocal rider Ray Rowson will not be competing at Hawkstone due to a serious kneeinjury he sustained in testing. Current British MX1 Champion Billy Mackenzie andthe CAS Honda team will also be at Hawkstone with Mackenzie's 2009 team-mate,MX1 star Cedric Melotte.
The factory Teka Suzuki team have just signed up their riders 2007 MX1World Champion Steve Ramon along with his Belgium team-mate Ken de Dycker. Withjust under a month to the event this is a massive boost to the line-up, whichalready looks strong.
The factory Honda Martin team of Kevin Strijbos and Marc de Reuver willalso be in the line up on March 1st. Both of these riders will be pushing forthe top honours as they are both ideally suited to the sandy Hawkstone track.KTM UK will be running all their riders including former British ChampionStephen Sword and his team-mates Jake Nicholls and Alex Snow in the MX1class.
