JAMES DABILL won the superb ‘Super Trial'

Motocross

Organized by Stuy Robinson and the North Berks Club @ the popular Seymours Arena' near Didcot. This fantastic event is now a solid big event' in the Trials Calendar and is growing each year. This year Dibs won the event from his pal Michael Brown.

The format of the event is simple. There are two laps of a seven section course for all the riders and the Top 4 riders go through to the Final.

Browny won the heats with Dibs second, Alexz third and Loris Gubian (riding Dibs' spare bike) was 4th... I must thank Stuart for organizing and making the trip possible for Loris who rode well and enjoyed the event.

Team JST GG Teamsters Sam Haslam and Ross Danby were 5th and 6th and unfortunately missed out on the final this year but nevertheless rode well and put on a good show. Craig Robinson rode in pain with a recent back injury.

After the heats the final became serious for the top 4 riders because some good prize money (and pride) was at stake.

All the sections were made harder for the final and Loris rode them first in front of Alexz, Dibs and then finally Michael. They all fived the end step on section 4 and only dibs cleaned section 5 with the massive end step which he cleaned with ease. A calculated one dab ride for dibs on the logs of 6 (pune was good here) kept him in the lead going to the Red Bull section where they all fived. Dibs lined himself up for the end step and totally missed it with his front wheel which frustrated him. He had another go for the crowd and cleaned with ease ;)

So with one section to go Dibs had a 4 mark lead so a ‘three' mark ride was enough for the win. This final section was long and technical and Dibs' used his head and wasted no time and got the three he needed for win! WELL DONE ;) Dibs really made me panic when he got some ‘massive air' on the middle step caught on camera by Ian Cross....awesome pic!

Thanks to Jack and Factory Kev..

So Dibs has won again before his weekend off this coming weekend before he goes away for a 5 week stint....

Two events in France, then to the last two WTCs in Spain and France, then to the TDN in Italy.

Other GG news....

JST GAS GAS UK Rider ‘Chris Stay' won the B Class Youth BTC in the North East.

GG riders filled the podium in the B Class with Chris winning, George Gosden 2nd and Tom Dexter third! WELL DONE TO ALL !

George still holds the lead in the Championship standings with two rounds to go. Taking the worst result away (The youths can drop one round) George still leads but only just from his pal Chris.

These two IOW/GG riders have won all the B rounds between them this year and its going to be an exciting end to the Championship at their ‘home round' on the Island in October.

CHRIS SHORT (JST GG) had his second podium position of the year in the A Class BTC behind Jack Sheppard and Richard Sadler. If Chris keeps pushing and ‘keeps his cool' he has a good chance of finishing 3rd overall in the A Class Championship for this year which would be fantastic..

Josh Maude (RAS GG) and Josh Brain (Juan Knight GG) were 4th and 5th respectively..

EMMA BRISTOW (JSTGG) was second behind Becky Cook at the Ladies and girls BTC at Richmond.

Emma was well in front of third place Donna Fox (ACEGG) and Katy Sunter (JSTGG) in 4th at her local Round.

Joanne Coles (ACEGG) continues to impress winning the Youth A Class which ride the same course as the Adults but all on 125s. Joanne easily won her class and would have been second behind Becky overall losing only 4 more marks than the current Ladies Champion. Joanne really has come on well this year and now looks forward to the next WTC in France on September 13th.

The committed ACEGG Rider Hannah Styles on her RAGA125 was second in the Youth A Class behind her pal Joanne and would have been 5th overall beating Katy.

Team Steve Plain / GGUK Enduro Team were out in force at GBXC Round 6

ASHLEY WOOD finished 6th in the Pro Class (8th overall) on his Steve Plain prepared CC250. Ashley had a good start and settled for a ‘safe-pace' to bring the gasser and himself home in a respectable 6th in the Pro Class. Ashley leaves tonight to travel to the next European Enduro Round in Slovakia.

BRADLEY KING and LUKE MEREDITH were 8th and 9th respectively in the Pro Class. They were a lap down on the leaders but nevertheless they battled on and finished in a respectable position. Luke rode the latter stages with no front brake due to a leaking front brake hose which must've been scary at the ends of the fast straights..
