The season just got better for Graham Jarvis and the MRS Sherco team, after taking his fifth British Championship Trials title a couple of weeks ago, Jarvis broke history at the famous Scott Trial at the weekend, where he took his eighth win, the most any rider has won it since the Scott Trial began in 1914!

Jarvis has been on a role recently when he beat Michael Brown to the BritishChampionship title at the final round at Bradford and was eager to break historyat the Scott. Jarvis took his last win at the Scott Trial in 2005 and has sincebeen trying for that prestigious eighth win, which would make him the best riderof all time in the trial. Beating his mentor Malcolm Rathmell, who won six, whenJarvis won in 2005 taking win number seven, where he equalled that of the legendSammy Miller, Jarvis was more than keen to keep going for the win thisweekend.

Working hard throughout the day around the 75-miles of moorlandthe 33-year-old got his head down and pushed hard on the windy, wet and cold dayaround the Richmond moors. Unable to set fastest time and following James Dabillthroughout the day, Jarvis finished six minutes behind Dabill but only dropped39 marks on observation, finishing only two marks in front of Dabill when theresults finally came out later that evening. Jarvis took win number eight andsecured himself a seat in the history books.

Jarvis commented "I'm madeup with taking my eighth win, it's been a long time coming and I'd like to thankeveryone that has helped me get this far and achieve what I have. It's been agreat year and it could be my last at trials so it's nice to go out on a highnote. Thanks again for everyone's support over the year, especially Malcolm andRhoda Rathmell."

Congratulations must also go to Leon Camier and JoshBrookes who decided to take on the challenge of the Scott Trial for the firsttime, both riding Sherco's they were unable to finish but managed to get topetrol check four, which was an incredible achievement. Even ex World ChampionDougie Lampkin congratulated the pair on what they managed to achieve! They haveboth said that they will return next year to finish it, but we will see on that!Jonny Walker on the MRS Sherco also won the 125 Rider award, a good day for theSherco trials team across the board.
