Knighter and Fast Eddy in for Endurocross

Both riders are giants of the sport, holding no less than seven world enduro titles between them and are a massive addition to the entry list. It's a rare opportunity to watch these two men on the same track, that head to head duel will be worth the admission fee alone but there might be a few others who plan to be in on the action too.

 

Local man Jordan Scott from Newtownards took victory at last year's EnduroCross where he was challenged by Italian visitor Jacopo Cerutti, but the introduction of Knight & Edmondson to this year's line-up will present a much more difficult challenge. 

Scott is not one to back away from a challenge though and come Thursday night, the HTM Off Road rider will be even more motivated battle for the win on home soil. The racing is fast and furious with little time to recover from any mistake so you never know how things will go when the gate drops.

 

Track preparations are now well underway for the event and the club is working to build an improved track for 2014. The unforgiving circuit consists of steep elevation changes, ‘Bomb Hole' jumps, a water splash, rock garden and to top it off there are masses of logs positioned in every combination possible around the course to challenge even the most experienced rider.

 

Spectator admission into the venue for the evenings racing is priced at just £5 per adult and children under 16 will be admitted free. Spectator car parking is available throughout Glenarm and the venue is just a short walk from the village car parks. 

 

Spectators are advised to be at the venue for 6.30pm so they don't miss any of the racing but practice will be underway at 6.00pm for those that want to make the trip up early. 

 

LJ's Diner will be on site in the main trackside spectator area for your all catering needs and toilets will be available throughout the venue also.
