KTM launched its eagerly awaited 2009 off-road competition models this week and as ever there is a monster line-up of machines from 50cc Auto MXers right through to 450cc MX1 weapons.

Four-strokes and two-strokes, the Austrian factory champions them all, with the two-stroke EXC range being very strong in the growing Hare and Hounds endurance events where the strokers have once again become incredibly popular. KTM also produce the exquisite niche 150cc two-stroke MX with which to do battle with the 250 four-stroke dominated MX2 class.
KTM has shown once again that the two-stroke is very much part of its future with the company's upgraded Youth range of MXers which now all feature KTM-built engines. And the 65SX, which we are proud to give you a sneak look at on this page, sports a brand-new ground-breaking motor with the gearbox underneath the crank and the cylinder inclined at a 45 degree angle.
KTM is also right up there with four-stroke technology with its class leading 250F and 450F models in both enduro and MX guise.
NEXT week T+MX will bring you the FULL rundown on the exciting 2009 KTM MX models with a mega KTM motocross test. Then the following week this will be followed up with a test of the KTM Enduro range by Jonty Edmunds.
Meanwhile, here's just a couple of pics to whet your appetite...don't miss next week's issue of T+MX!
