KTM's new EXC-R is special

KEEN to maintain its position at the head of the international enduro market, KTM has given its EXC range an overhaul for 2008 with the all-new 450 EXC-R the jewel in the Austrian manufacturer's seven-bike enduro line-up...
One thing KTM can't be accused of is resting on their laurels when it comes to their position as the world's number one enduro bike manufacturer. Offering a comprehensive line-up of enduro machines, many of which are widely regarded as the best in their respective classes, it would be easy for KTM to have made only minimal updates to their new season' EXC range for '08.
Again offering bikes for all classes and machines that cater for riders of all levels of ability, as one of just two manufacturers that offer both two-stoke and four-stroke bikes for use in E1, E2 and E3 class competition, KTM's firm grip on the global enduro market hasn't happened by accident. Yet despite their enviable position at the top of the enduro pile, KTM are still pushing things forward in order to maintain its #1 status.
Which is why KTM has decided to launch the all new SOHC 450 EXC-R.
Despite there being little wrong with their existing, and hugely popular, 450cc enduro machine KTM has decided now is the time to deliver a new from the ground-up mid-sized woods thumper, the flagship model of their '08 EXC range.
