Despite a recently broken rib, top Women's MX rider Livia Lancelot has taken a fifth French National title, with the Women's World Championship firmly next in her sights!

The Kawasaki racer managed to achieve pole position at the testing circuit of Louignac, recently despite sitting out much of the practice sessions with pain from an injury, ironically sustained at the French Grand Prix. She then went on to ‘dig deep' with a determined display, resulting in two race wins.

Racing her immaculately prepared Team One One Four Kawasaki KX250F Livia again showed the form that marks her out as one of the most exciting female racers in motorsport. The twenty-seven year old from Saint-Denis has been riding motorcycles since a very young age starting on small auto machines but has been in ‘green' since 2007.

Now the next goal of Livia and her team is to fight for the World title, something which has eluded her since 2008, mainly due to injuries. Livia was crowned as the inaugural Women's World Motocross Champion after previously winning the FIM Women's Motocross World Cup for three seasons from 2005.

She currently leads the WMX series and this coming weekend will see her race at the German GP, the penultimate round.

Livia: "I didn't know what to expect in this race, as I was unable to ride my bike since Villars. I just did a few laps in the practice session to keep some energy for the races, and posted the fastest lap two seconds faster than Amandine. Then I was fully focused on my starts, and twice got the holeshot to win both races. I still have some pain but we have one week before Germany and I will be ready for this GP which I have won in the past.”
