By Team TMX on 18th Jul 19
The Acerbis Amateur Nationals series heads south this weekend for round five of the championship at the excellent Landrake Moto Parc in Cornwall.
Last time out at Sherwood at the end of June it was Lewis Trickett who finally moved into the lead in the Paradise MX Holidays MX1 class with a five-race maximum giving him a 10-point lead over Ed Briscoe with Andy Wilson third 42 points off the pace.
Defending champion Scott Hamilton is setting the pace in the Craigs Motorcycles MX2 class and currently leads Seb Berthiaume by 82 points with three rounds to go. Ashley Beniston sits third but needs a good result this weekend if hes going to stay in touch with the leading pair.
Dylan Spencer has a 77-point lead in the Moto Connection-sponsored 125cc Two-stroke class and is looking good to retain his title despite pressure from James Hanscomb and
Stu Owen.
Denny Rapson leads the MX Dreams California 250cc Two-stroke class by 50 points but second-placed Adam Harris took maximum points at Sherwood and will be hoping to carry this momentum into Landrake and Brad Wheeler is only 17 points further back.
Its tight at the top of the Matthew Rudd Photography-backed Ladies class where Jane Daniels leads Nadiya Jones by six points following her clean sweep at Sherwood with Kady Moore also
in contention.
In the LS2 Helmets Vets Over 40 category Brian Wheeler has yet to be beaten by a registered rider this year and leads former British 125cc contender Danny Tollet by 90 points with Danny Blakeley another 16 further back.
The Roberts Plant Vets Over 50s theres been a season-long battle between Chris Brown and Morton Hannah with Brown extending his lead to 61 points at Sherwood. Rob Lewis is third.
Ben Stanley has led the Manchester Xtreme Junior Open class since the first race of the season but a DNF last time out cut his lead and he currently has a 51-point advantage over Richard
Evans with Aiden Carney just nine points further behind.
