Lassu takes Pole' position

AT Polesworth on Sunday roses were red, and violets were blue, as 230 of the MX massive gathered at the Moto Goo. James Lassu, Joe Jones, Joseph DelBusso, Damon Brookes, Robert Yates, Alex Walton and Dylan Edwards proved to be the ultimate Valentine's Day heroes as they all ran riot at round six of the Wilden MXC Championship event.
In the top of the shop Adult A division James Lassu picked up a rear wheel puncture in both of the opening two races but it didn't prevent him from putting on a masterclass and claiming all three race wins in a thunderous performance.
The main threat to the Lassu dominance came from Joe Jones and a fast-gating Michael McClurg. By the end of the day, however, it was Joe Jones who had skilfully battled his way through the pack to magnificently nail a brace of second place finishes on a card that read 4-2-2, and that was good enough for second overall.
In the Adult B races Joseph Delbusso went 1-1-2 and took all the plaudits yet again. Ironically however it was that final second place finish that proved to be the real highlight as he rode like a demon after giving the field a half lap start as he got tangled in the start tapes.
