Livia Lancelot took over the red plate as series leader of the FIM Women's World Motocross Championship with a maximum score aboard her Team One One Four Kawasaki at Matterley Basin in Great Britain.

The French girl was dominant all weekend, quickly taking the lead in each moto to move relentlessly further ahead as the race progressed for a stunning double victory which has taken her 23 points clear of her closest rival at the midway point in the series. Livia's victory has also ensured that Kawasaki moves eight points clear in the Manufacturers' Championship.

Meghan Rutledge, Kawasaki's other title contender who held third place in the series after two rounds, was absent after shattering a thumb whilst racing in her native Australia and is unlikely to return to racing this summer.

Livia Lancelot:  "It was a very good weekend for me; I was confident coming to Matterley as I really love this track, with many jumps and big ruts. The goal was to get some good results here; I got a good start in the opening race and won it, while Chiara (Fontanesi) crashed. In the second race I had an even better feeling with the track and got another win, to take the red plate. It will be nice to have this plate next weekend for the French GP, now the goal is to keep it until the end of the series. I'm pleased with the way we're working with my team One One Four; since Thailand we've improved the suspension and the engine, and I also worked on my physical condition with my trainer Bruno. I'm looking forward to the French GP, I'm sure that there will be a huge atmosphere with the French fans coming to support us.”
