Yes, the former Millennium Dome' will come to life for the first time with the sound and sights of Supercross. This event of course will be the finale of the four-round Future West ACU British Supercross Championship series and the first ever visit to the remarkable new O2 venue.
Kicking-off at the Sheffield Arena back in November and the more recent two-night stop at the brand new Liverpool Echo Arena in January the series has really gained momentum. Large crowds thus far have led to strong ticket sales in anticipation of the nail-biting British Supercross Championship finale at The O2 Arena in what promises to be a night to remember.
Riders from around the world will be descending upon The O2 Arena come February 23, all set for battle in staking claim for the coveted British Supercross Championship titles. Top riders include former US champion and current Pro Open points leader Mike Brown, racing for CAS Honda. Canada will be heavily represented with it's very best including six-time Canadian Motocross champion Jean Sebastien Roy who will be accompanied by team-mate and fellow Canuck Colton Facciotti of Vancouver. Facciotti won the British Supercross Championship at the age of just 15 back in 2005.
Other Canadian competitors include crowd favourite 19-year-old Kyle Beaton. Beaton is no stranger to British Supercross with his popular come-from-behind, never-say-die style of riding. Also riding out of Canada will be 19-year-old Kris Foster who won a Pro Lights main event at Liverpool on his first visit to the UK as well as Lee Coutts and Brock Hoyer. South African Neville Bradshaw and David Goosen will also add to the international favour as will Norway's Per Kristian Bakke.
British fans will have plenty of riders to cheer on including former British Supercross and Motocross champ, Carl Nunn aboard a Suso Motovision Suzuki, while another former British Supercross Champ, Lewis Gregory, will be back in action on his Relentless Suzuki after missing Liverpool with injuries sustained while training in Spain.
Up-and-coming star and head-to-head standout, Ashley Greedy, of Wales will be in London riding for PAR Homes Honda along with Nigel Arnold KTM's recent signing, Luke Remmer.
Tickets for The O2 Arena final round of the British Supercross Championship on Saturday February 23 are available on 08719-840002.
