Marvin Musquin, the current leader in the MX2 World Championship standings will be in the starting gates for the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team at the next Motocross GP in Lommel, Belgium.

After intensive discussions between KTM Racing, the French NGS-Honda Team and Honda Europe a sensible solution has been found concerning the transfer of the MX professional has been found. An settlement has been reached whereby Marvin Musquin and KTM settle outstanding costs involved in the negotiations plus a minor fee for the transfer.

The mutual agreement between all parties has opened up the possibility for KTM to sign with the 19-year old French racer with the goal of working together in the Motocross World Championship until the end of the 2011 season.

A part of the agreement reached between KTM Racing, NGS Honda and Honda Europe has been published in the following statement issued by KTM:

KTM Racing: „It was KTM's initiative to present two KTM motorcycles in the name of Marvin Musquin at the preliminary technical tests for the Swedish Grand Prix on 4 and 5 July 2009 which made it impossible for Mr. Marvin Musquin to register motorcycles of any other brand. KTM apologizes and would like to retract the unfounded statements made by Mr. Pit Beirer at the press conference held by him on 4 July 2009 at the Swedish Grand Prix".
