Crendon Tru7 Honda’s Conrad Mewse took a double victory at Oxford Moto Parc as the NPC – Pro MX Championship got underway.

Conditions were perfect in Oxfordshire as Nora’s flagship series fired into life. Mewse beat a 30-plus strong field of Pro racers to claim victory in each of the 25-minute-plus-two-lap motos that included MX1 and MX2 classes that were scored separately.

Joining Mews on the MX1 podium were SC Sporthomes Husqvarna’s Tristan Purdon who ran 2-2 and Conrad’s Crendon Tru7 Honda teammate Jamie Carpenter who ran 3-3. Cumbrian privateer Brad Todd ran 4-4 to secure fourth overall ahead of Dan Thornhill whose 6-5 finishes saw him round out the top five.

In MX2, Tommy Searle (Dirt Store Triumph) took both wins ahead of Charlie Heyman (SC Sporthomes Husqvarna) and Ben Mustoe (ASA United GASGAS) who were equally consistent running second and third.

The series continues at Oakhanger on April 19/20 which is Easter weekend.
