Michael Brown back in action
By John Dickinson on 14th Nov 15
On April 26th 2015 No.1 JST GGUK rider Michael Brown crashed out of the Japanese World Trials Championship round smashing his knee cap to bits. He had two operations the following week and has spent over six months healing and having constant physiotherapy. He has had a very frustrating year out of action.
Over six months on Michael is back on a bike and finally back in competition at the weekend at The Jersey Two Day Trial. Michael had a family weekend in Jersey and rode the Trial which he won quite easily. No doubt his knee was sore after two days of competition but it was a perfect event for Michael to start his comeback with. He knows he has a long hard winter of ongoing physio and training to get back to where he was earlier this year. He still has not got full movement in his knee but ongoing treatment will hopefully get this sorted in time for BTC1 on April 16th, almost a year since his injury.
Michael is still unsure about the WTC next year. Now he is back on a bike he will start training and see how progress goes before he commits to WTC or not.
GGUK and myself are fully behind Michael and look forward to a prosperous and healthy 2016 with bikes to sell and events to WIN!
