Check out all the gossip from this week's world of motocross...

The opening round of the ACU Eastern Motocross Championship takes place on April 3 at Little Loveney Hall, Wakes Colne Practice starts at 10am with the first race at 11.30am. Admission is £10 for adults with no charge for under 12s. The track will be signposted from postcode CO6 2DF.

The British Supermoto and Superlite Championships kick off over the Easter weekend (March 27/28) at the Three Sisters circuit at Wigan. The action kicks off a 9am both days. Admission is £5.

The dates for the AMCA MX1 and MX2 Qualifiers have been finalised with both taking place on April 17.

The North/North Shrops & Wales/ South Shrops/ East/ Trent/ Central Northern Area will be at FatCat. Wessex/South Dursley will be at Nympsfield.

Globetrotter Adam Chatfield was back in Brazil at the weekend to dominate the opening round of the South American Arenacross Championship at Indaiatuba.

The Belgian championship sunk to new depths on Sunday as just five GP riders – three of them foreigners – were among the sad field of 27 for the series opener at Moerbeke. Jeffrey Herlings dominated from fellow wildcard Max Nagl all day while enthusiastic Brent van Doninck at least put a Belgian on the podium.

Greg Aranda took over the lead in the French Elite with a 1-3 day at Saint Thibery but the day's big winner was Valentin Guillod who went 2-1 on his Kemea Yamaha. Darian Sanayei, riding for Bud Kawasaki this year, won the first MX2 moto.

Marc de Reuver broke two toes in practice for the opening round of the second grade Dutch MX1 championship.

Hampshire MXC heads to Grittenham this weekend for round three of its championship with classes for solos, quads and sidecars

Westcoast MXC's season opener for 2016 will also include the final round of the 2015 Winter Series at the excellent Newquay Moto Park this Sunday. Catering for Autos through to Overs, don't forget you'll need your own transponder or hire one in advance from the club.

Action from all six rounds of this year's Michelin MX Nationals will be shown on Motors TV. The opening round earlier this month at Preston Docks will be on Sky channel 447 on April 2 at 11.35am, April 3 at 4am and April 8 at 12.08pm. All well as documenting the racing, the broadcasts will follow the fortunes of three riders – Joel Rizzi (Gaerne BW85cc), Ben Clark (Talon MXY2/125cc) and Luke Mellows (Fly Racing Experts Cup MX2) – at the races and at home.
