THE KTM team arrived at Mallory Park on Thursday with a full factory 250F machine for Marvin Musquin. His current team, NGS Honda, has also brought its series-leading CRF250!

For weeks KTM has been vehemently denying that it would take a rider under contract to another manufacturer or team during the current season, but the factory rig arrived at the British GP with a full factory bike for the French teenager who is holding the red plate in the World MX2 Series. It even had personalised casings - clearly not made in a day!

It is known that Musquin's management have been unhappy about the cash flow problems of the NGS team, and it is anticipated that they will claim breach of contract through non-payment for due monies.

It is also known that Musquin has been testing KTMs in private training sessions for some weeks.

Musquin's defection - if it actually happens - is most astonishing. The supercross skills of the slightly built teenager are undisputed, and he has made no secret of his desire to race in America next year. Honda Europe's Roger Harvey has been overheard confirming that American Honda was ready to take on Musquin for the next SX series, while KTM has openly admitted it is not looking for any new riders for America!

More news later, but Jon Primo was preparing an SX250F in the Red Bull KTM factory awning. At the same time, NGS chief mechanic, Dominique Alleame was also present, waiting for Technical Control to open: "The truck is here, I am here, and the bikes will go through Technical Control for Marvin. What happens after that, I do not know!"
