Dylan Ferrandis dropped a bombshell at Teutschenthal when he announced that he will race for Star Racing Yamaha in AMA SX next year.

The 21-year-old had initially intended to go to the States for Pro Circuit but his relationship with Kawasaki's MX2 GP factory team has worsened this year and he has jumped ship for his Stateside transfer.

"It is not too early [to talk about next year] and I think everybody knows I will race for Star Racing in the AMA series," he said. "I still don't know if it will be East or West coast for the next two years. I'm really happy and now I had the injury and the championship is out for me I am ready to go to the US.

"It is something I have wanted to do for many years but it is a big choice and it is difficult to leave the family, friends and your country but it is what I wanted since I was very young.

"I waited for three years because I wanted to fight for the [MX2] title and expected the championship to go better and better. I don't like the tracks much in Europe so that is one reason to go to the US and I also like supercross."
