The Festival of Legends takes place next weekend (September 10/11) at Hawkstone Park.

The event, which is bringing together a host of MX big-hitters from the '60s right through to the '90s, is new to the calendar and run by Cumbria Twinshock.

The format lays on two days of racing for Twin-shock, 125, 250 and 500cc Evolution and West Midlands Evos

Pre-85 machines with the added bonus of two races each on the Sunday for Over 50 twin-shock and Over 40 Evo legends. Not all the legends will be riding but will be there as VIP guests and available for interviews with maybe a parade around the famous start straight during Sunday's interval.

Almost 50 ex-British championship and top 35 riders have agreed to attend including Neil Hudson, Dave Watson, Neil Prince, Rob Hooper, Vaughan Semmens, Geoff and Freddie Mayes, Pete Mathia, Paul Harrison, Stuart Coyle, Dave Tomasik, Mike Stephens and Chris and Phil Small.

Entries are still available from Chloe Hudson on 01229 463805/07887 407590 and the entry form is on the National Twinshock website.

There will also be a modern MX1/MX2 class with 45 places available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Spectator admission is £10 per person or £25 per car with racing starting at 10am both days.
