MX Diary: Masters have Culham clash

Round two of the Pirelli British Masters moves to Culham Moto Park beside the River Thames in Oxfordshire this weekend.
Although Graeme Irwin (Buildbase Honda) won both Pro MX1 races at the opening round at Hawkstone Park he had to fight for his wins after suffering arm-pump in the first race and crashing at the start of the second.
Rob Davidson (SJP Moto Husqvarna) had a good day helped by some great starts and finished second overall with Jake Shipton (Crescent RHR Yamaha) third from Brad Anderson (Verde Sports Racing KTM), Dan Thornhill (Cab Screens Husqvarna) and Carlton Husband (Phoenix Tools Honda).
At the Masters the Pro MX1 and MX2 classes race together and Micky Eccles (Kawasaki) was on top form on his 250F at Hawkstone, scoring maximum points and beating all the 450F riders in race two.
Lewis Tombs (Lings Husqvarna) and Jake Millward (Verde Sports Racing KTM) didn't finish out of the top three all day for second and third while Liam Knight (Hobbs Racing Kawasaki) just missed out.
Jake Edey (Gear4 KTM) is getting better and better every weekend and he will be looking to win more races in the Amateur MX1 class but Corey Hockey and John Joe Wright who shared the podium with Edey at Hawkstone will have other ideas.
Ben Franklin was unbeaten in the Amateur MX2 class at Hawkstone but a different track may bring other results and Jamie Wainwright and Olly Jones will be there to try and end his winning streak.
Sean Barnsdale dominated the Clubman class at the last round with four wins but Adam Ford and John Cooper will be out to change that.
Howard Wainwright and Rossi Beard tied at the top of the MXY2 class with Denny Rapson third so that will be a good battle to watch and the same could be said for the 125s with Jim Davies and Chris Povey going for it.
Also look out for BW85cc leader Olly Davidson and Raife Broadley, the series leader in the SW85cc class. Ollie Colmer will be one to watch in the 65s - he won three out of his four races at round one and finished second in the one he didn't win.
Culham Park is situated off the A415 between Abingdon and Clifton Hampden. The entrance to the site is through Culham No.1 Industrial Park. Nearest postcode is OX14 3DA.
As usual it's a two-day event but the Pros only race on Sunday.
