Ducati’s off-road adventure is about to hit another gear, with the Bologna brand doubling down for 2026 and teaming up with none other than Louis Vosters’ Dutch squad to run the official Ducati MXGP factory effort.

Yep – you read that right. The Italian marque is going all-in, fielding three factory Desmo450 MX bikes next season as it looks to turn heads in the big league.

After dipping its toe into MXGP waters in 2025 and landing a couple of podiums, Ducati is now joining forces with one of the most respected teams in the paddock. Vosters’ outfit, based in Bergeijk, in the Netherlands is just down the road from Lommel and has the facilities, the staff, and the know-how to give Ducati’s Desmo450 project some serious legs.

Lining up for 2026 will be Jeremy Seewer, who stays on red after bagging a pair of podiums last season, alongside Andrea Bonacorsi and Calvin Vlaanderen, two riders who know how to hang it out.

Bonacorsi, just 21, has rocketed through the ranks – from EMX125 champ in 2020 to EMX250 champ in 2023 – and impressed everyone by finishing his rookie MXGP season inside the top 10, even nicking a podium. Vlaanderen, meanwhile, brings the muscle - MX2 GP winner, MXGP GP winner, Dutch champ, and Motocross of Nations victor. Oh, and he’s as comfortable in the sand as a seagull with a chip.

Ducati Corse Off-Road boss Paolo Ciabatti said the move marks the next step in a long-term plan to take the brand to the sharp end of world motocross. “Louis runs one of the most professional teams in MXGP, and we share a clear goal – to get Ducati to the top of motocross. With Jeremy, Andrea, and Calvin on board, we’re confident we can make it happen.”

Vosters, who’s been around the GP paddock long enough to know what it takes to win, is equally fired up. “It’s a dream to lead Ducati’s factory MXGP effort. Their passion, technology, and racing DNA match our vision perfectly. This is a long-term project built on trust and the shared desire to win – and we’re ready to take on the challenge.”

With the Desmo450 MX proving its mettle in year one and Ducati tightening its grip on the dirt scene, 2026 is shaping up to be spicy. Expect plenty of noise, plenty of red, and – if the Italians have their way – maybe a few trophies heading to Bologna before the year’s out.
