Fox Racing athletes flaunt their gear ahead of MXGP of Great Britain
By Press Release on 17th Feb 22
The wait is finally over! In less than two days, Fox Racings moto athletes will take to the track at the opening round of the 2022 FIM Motocross World Championship the MXGP of Great Britain held at the beautiful Matterley Basin circuit in the UK.
FOX has assembled a super-talented roster of MXGP, MX2, and WMX riders for 2022, a line-up that features multi-time world champions, proven race winners, and future superstars competing in the supporting EMX championships.
Leading their presence in MXGP is four-time world champ Tim Gajser. A long-time Fox athlete, the Team HRC Honda rider gears up for another run at the MXGP title, which he narrowly missed out on in 2021 after a season-long battle for the top spot.
Joining Gajser at HRC Honda after missing one year of racing due to injury, Mitch Evans returns to action in 2022, looking to bring the same podium speed that he showcased throughout 2020. The Honda mounted duo will rock the Flexair Mirer gearset at MXGP round one while Foxs third MXGP runner, Honda 114 Motorsports' Ruben Fernandez, will line up in their time-tested 180 gear line.
In MX2, Husqvarna Factory Racings Kay de Wolf and Roan van de Moosdijk will also roll out in style at Matterley Basin wearing Flexair Mirer. Showing impressive speed in selected pre-season races, the two young Dutchmen are without a doubt shooting for the podium and a solid points haul at the opening round of 2022.
Another rider looking to impress at Matterley Basin is new Honda 114 Motorsports rider Haakon Fredriksen who, after landing on the podium multiple times during his time in EMX250 in 2021, jumps up to the big league making his MX2 debut this season.
Stepping up to EMX125 for 2022 is female racer Lotte van Drunen. At just 14 years of age, the Dutch sensation will be one of the youngest riders out there, but her talent, courage, and never-give-up attitude make her the perfect fit for Fox Racing.
Fox Racing are absolutely stoked to have three-time WMX champ Courtney Duncan head-to-toe in Fox once again as she goes after her fourth consecutive championship. The New Zealander starts her title defence on March 6 in Mantova, Italy, where well also see the Honda 114 Motorsports pairing of TJ OHare and Martine Hughes running a full Fox set-up in the WMX division.
With all of their supported athletes for 2022 now introduced, we cant wait to see them all in action this year as they chase after titles, wins, and podiums in what looks set to be a fantastic year of racing.
