Jose Butron has secured an MXGP ride for 2020 with JD Gunnez KTM

Jose Butron has revealed he will return to MXGP with JD KTM Gunnex Racing Team for the 2020 season. It will be his second year with the Czech outfit.
Butron has been sidelined by a serious ankle injury for the last six months after crashing during training in the Czech Republic and has only recently returned to the bike.
The 28-year-old is still not 100 per cent after sustaining multiple fractures and all these months on, still straps his ankle each time he takes to the track.
Butron's new team-mate will be Britain's Adam Sterry, who steps up to the premier class after a successful final season in MX2, which was topped off with a bronze medal at the Motocross of Nations in Assen.
Returning back to the Spaniard, he will steadily step up his pace during pre-season but has admitted he has a long way to go before he'll be back to peak fitness fortunately, he has three months left to get there.
Butron has been on KTM machinery for most of his career, last season he was with JD KTM Gunnex and before that he spent several years with Marchetti Racing Team KTM. You need to go all the way back to 2010 to find him on anything other than KTM.
