MXGP Injury Report Tommy Searle
Tommy Searles comeback campaign suffered a huge blow when the reigning British MX1 champion broke his hand on the eve of his return to racing at round three of the Michelin MX Nationals at Hawkstone Park.
The 27-year-old, who's been sidelined since damaging the ACL in his left knee just before Christmas, had planned to start racing again at the weekend and then return to GP action at the MXGP of Lombardia on June 25.
Searle's Monster Energy DRT Kawasaki boss Steve Dixon broke the bad news on social media.
"I just received news that Tommy broke his hand yesterday,” he wrote on June 9. "Such a setback for Tommy, it's the nature of the sport.”
