By Team TMX on 9th Aug 19
Yamaha Motor Europe have today ended speculation over Romain Febvre's future with the team after they announced the Frenchman will leave the Monster Energy Yamaha outfit at the end of this MXGP season.
Febvre's time with Yamaha can certainly be considered success with 27 GP race wins, 50 GP podiums, 12 GP victories and one MXGP world title in 2015.
In his time with Yamaha, #461 has also played a pivotal role in Team France securing three Motocross of Nations victories.
In a press release Yamaha expressed their gratitude for the "five fruitful years" spent with Febvre and the "many memorable moments". Yamaha Motor Europe wished Febvre all the best for his future in racing and they looked forward to the remaining rounds of the world championship.
There was no statement from Febvre.
While this answers one question, it opens up another. Will Febvre now switch to Kawasaki as reported by Adam Wheeler?
