Team Switzerland announces Assen MXoN 2019 roster

MXGP Arnaud Tonus MXoN Jeremy Seewer Assen Valentin Guillod
In the past, Team Switzerland isn't one you would be looking for at the top of the results but they have been building into a bit of a Motocross of Nations force over the past five years. And now you have to say that their 2019 MXoN squad has to be considered as one of the strongest for Assen on September 28/29.
Jeremy Seewer will compete in the MXGP class, Valentin Guillod in MX2 and Arnaud Tonus in the Open class.
Where will Team Switzerland finish?
With the form they're in right now, two of those three would walk into almost any Motocross of Nations team.
The Yamaha pair of Seewer and Tonus have been trading blows figuratively speaking for much of the 2019 MXGP season. With four podiums and holding second in the standings Seewer has delivered an impressive year.
If it wasn't for some poor results at the start of the year compared to Tonus' current form the 28-year-old #4 could have had a better season than his compatriot. He sits fourth in the standings, only six points short of third and has taken six podiums so far this year only Tim Gajser has had more.
You could say Guillod is the weak link. The 26-year-old has only raced one MXGP round this year but don't let that fool you. He has been rapid on a 250 in the past, the question will be can he rediscover that speed for Assen?
If Guillod does, I could see Team Switzerland having their best ever year at the 2019 Motocross of Nations.
